Mix butter, Crisco, sugar and egg yolks until creamy then add flour, vanilla, buttermilk mix again, mix egg whites until stiff then fold in to cake batter. Pour into three cake pans that have been oiled and lightly floured.
Bake 30-35 at 350*F
Make frosting and frost the cooled cake, put 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts on top. ENJOY
