Stephanie's Notes:

This cake is very moist and even better the second day. Very tasty!

Directions

1
In mixing bowl, combine all ingredients (mix Irish Cream and Half and Half together), blending well. Pour into greased bundt pan; bake at 350 degrees for 40 - 50 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched.
2
Glaze: 1/2 c. Irish Cream mixed with 1/2 cup half and half (1 c. total); 3 cups powdered sugar. In bowl, combine glaze ingredients, blending well. While cake is still warm in pan, poke holes in it and pour glaze over it.

It is a liquer and you can get it in the liquor section of the grocery store. A lot of people put it in their coffee.

Stephanie...you, me and Jo are going to having people Dancing on tables with our Liquor recipes! Fortunately most of the liquor when cooked or baked evaporates. That is something to keep in mind for those that don't drink. I am not a drinker, per say..wine once in a blue moon, but, I will really enjoy making this cake and serving it..it sounds so darn good!

LOL; yes, you are right. I did have someone ask what Irish Cream was. I know some people put it in their coffee. this cake is very moist and yes, alcohol evaporates when cooked.

Actually Stephanie on Food Detectives they talked about the amount of alcohol that was left when you cook and the answer was quite a bit.

Me either..that is the first I have heard that. I had always been told it evaporates or breaks down in alcohol % as you cook it. I never felt anything when I ate that cake years ago..did you Steph with this one? Good info though, I will investigate this a little more. That is interesting. Thank you for sharing, Jane.

One thing for sure....I would never let a child eat anything with alcohol in it..cooked, baked...NEVER. Adults..hey, your on your own, LOL!
