This has become the traditional b-day cake for all members of my family.

Ingredients For ice cream cake

  • 24 chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 1/4 c
    melted butter
  • 1/2 gal
    vanilla ice cream
  • 16 oz
    can of hershey syrup
  • 15 oz
    can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 8 oz
    cool whip

How To Make ice cream cake

  • 1
    Crush cookies and add melted butter. Pat into a 13X9 pan. Freeze 30 min. Soften ice cream and spread over crumbs. Freeze 30 min.

    Bring to a boil syrup, milk, and butter. Simmer 5 minutes and stir frequently! Take off heat and cool. Once cool-stil in vanilla. Pour mixture over ice cream layer. Freeze 30 min.

    Spread top with Cool Whip and decorate. I have used crushed sandwich cookies, sprinkles, nuts-the options are endless. Enjoy!!
