1/2 cup butter, softened
1 8oz cream cheese softened
1 lb confectioners sugar
1 tbs. vanilla
Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add eggs and oil, stirring by hand until moistened. Stir in vanilla, pineapple, bananas and one cup of crushed walnuts. Stir only with spoon.(do not use mixer) Spoon batter into three well greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans. Bake 30 minutes or more. Test for doneness. Watch carefully. Cool 10 minutes. Remove to rack to cool.
Beat butter and cream cheese with mixer until light and fluffy. Add confectioners sugar gradualy, beating until at spreading consistency. Beat in vanilla. Frost cake and sprinkle remaining nuts on top.
