- 1 box devil's food cake mix
- 1/2 cup finely chopped hazelnuts
- 2 tablespoons espresso powder
- 1 (16 oz.) can cream cheese frosting
- 2 tablespoons hazelnut liqueur
- 2 (16 oz.) cans chocolate frosting
How To Make hop to it chocolate cake

Step 1Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.

Step 2Prepare cake mix according to directions, stir hazelnuts and espresso powder into batter. Pour mixture into cake pans. Bake 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool on rack.

Step 3In bowl mix cream cheese frosting and hazelnut liqueur until smooth. Cut each cake layer horizontally in two. Spread 1/2 cup cream cheese mixture on one round. Spread thin layer of chocolate frosting over and top with second cake round and repeat with remaining cake layers and frosting. Ice cake with remaining chocolate frosting in basketweave pattern if desired.
