Ingredients For hg cheesy cherry danish

  • ICING:
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    splenda (i would use sugar - i don't like artifical anything)
  • 1 tsp
    confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tsp
    cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    cold water
  • 1 Tbsp
    marshmallow creme
  • 1 Tbsp
    cool whip free
  • DANISH:
  • 4 oz
    cream cheese, fat free, room temperature
  • 1/4 c
    old fashioned oats
  • 2 Tbsp
    splenda (again, i would use sugar)
  • 1 Tbsp
    soy milk, vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp
    almond extract
  • 1 c
    dark sweet cherries, frozen, thawed
  • 1 tube
    pillsbury crescent recipe creations dough sheet

How To Make hg cheesy cherry danish

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    ICING: In a microwave safe bowl, mix splenda, confectioners' & cornstarch. Add vanilla & water; mix until dissolved. Add creme; microwave on HIGH in 5 second intervals until soft. Fold in until smooth. Stir in cool whip until blended. Cover; chill.

    DANISH: Mix cream cheese, oats, splenda, milk & almond extract. Fold in cherries; reserve.

    Coat large baking sheet with cooking spray.

    Roll out dough on baking sheet into large rectangle of even thickness. Spoon cherry filling lengthwise across middle third of dough, leaving 1" boarders on left & right of filling.

    Starting from top, make vertical cuts, 1" apart, in dough, stopping about 1/2" above filling. Repeat with bottom section.

    Alternate folding strips from top & bottom over filling, covering it completely. Fold left & right sides of dough in toward filling; press to seal.

    Bake 20 - 30 minutes until pastry is golden. Cool. Stir icing; drizzle over danish.
