Hazelnut Chocolate Cake with Frosting
all purpose flour
coffee, strong and cold
powdered sugar, well sifted
1Grease and flour two 9" cake pans; preheat oven to 350.
3Beat egg whites until frothy; then beat in sugar until stiff peaks form and set aside.
4Cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy; beat in yolks one at a time.
5Sift flour, cocoa and baking soda together; add to creamed mixture alternately with coffee and hazelnut liqueur, blend well.
6Fold egg whites into batter; pour into prepared pans and bake 30-35 minutes or until done.
7Cool 10 minutes then invert on wire racks and remove pans; cool before frosting.
8FROSTING: Cream butter with sugar; add everything else and beat until smooth.
