OMG DARLA! I never post comments. I just grab a recipe and dash! But I HAD to create an account just to tell you THANK YOU! I can't tell you how many times I've made tea cakes for my husband and he's claimed they don't quite taste like his grandmother's. And, he was right. They were more of a sugar cookie. To see his face light up when he took a bite of the cookie I made using your recipe...was priceless. I think I need to roll my dough a little thinner, because I only got about 1 dz! Or... I could double the recipe! Anything to get more cookies! LOL! Thanks gurrll!!!

I've been looking for this recipe for years! It died with my mama and no one was ever able to reproduce them. This is just one more recipe I can make for my Father and brothers to give them a taste of ''home'. I'm soooo excited!
