Grandma Brownfield's Carrot Cake

My grandma would make this cake around the holidays and special occasions. Simply the best!!

Ingredients

3 c
raw carrots, grated
4
eggs
3/4 c
water
2 tsp
baking soda
2 Tbsp
vanilla
2 c
sugar
3/4 c
vegetable oil
3 tsp
cinnamon
1 tsp
salt
2 c
flour

FROSTING

1 stick
butter
1 c
brown sugar
1/4 c
milk
2 1/4 c
powdered sugar

Step-By-Step

1Mix all ingredients together except carrots. Stir carrots in last.
2Bake 25 to 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven in a 9x13 cake pan.
3Frosting:
Melt 1 stick of butter. Add brown sugar, boil 2 minutes, stirring over low heat. Add milk, bring to boil, stirring constantly. Cool. Add powdered sugar.
