Featured Pinch Tips Video
- 1 1/2 stick
- unsalted butter
- 1/2 c
- white granulated sugar
- egg (seperate white from yolk)
- 1 3/4 c
- sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp
- ground clove
- 1/8 tsp
- ground mace
- 1 pinch
- ground saffron (optional)
1Cream butter and sugar until fluffy
2Add yolk and beat until well combined.
3Mix all the dry ingredients together in another bowl or measuring cup
4Add to wet ingredients and mix well.
5Put mixture into greased 9in pan.
6Brush top with egg white (this is what gives it that wafer top)
7Bake 1 hour and cut hot but then let cool completely.
