This was my mother's go-to recipe for a moist and delicious cake. It was good with or without frosting but so delicious with fresh fruit and whipped cream.

1/4 tsp

How To Make family reunion pound cake

Cream together softened margarine and shortening; add sugar and mix until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix well. Sift together flour, salt, and baking powder and add to mixture alternately with buttermilk. Add vanilla and mix well. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan and bake at 325 for 1 1/2 hours
