Before you begin, please note this recipe can easily be cut to a third for an 8x8 pan or 2/3's for a 9x13 size pan. Preheat oven to 350. Spray an 12x17 pan. In a large bowl, cream together butter, peanut butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla. Beat on medium for 1 minute. Scraping bowl as needed. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mixing until just combined well.

Stir in Reese's pieces and chocolate chips. Spread into prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. (If using smaller recipe/pan, adjust time) Make frosting right after you remove bars from oven. By the time you get it made the bars should be the right temp to add frosting. If still too hot, just wait a few minutes... In a medium bowl beat together cream cheese, butter and peanut butter until smooth and creamy, 1 minute, add vanilla and beat again, add powdered sugar and beat again until smooth and creamy, 2 minutes. Spread over very warm bars (not hot) sprinkle Reeses pieces over top. Allow to cool, cut into desired size and enjoy!

You can frost after bars are completely cool too, your frosting will be thicker then. I just like when part of it melts into the bars. :o)
