1First preheat the oven to 350F. In a large bowl microwave the chocolate & butter on high for about 2 mins or until butter is melted. Stir chocolate to melt completley. Then stir in the sugar. Then add in the eggs 1 at a time,beat well until well mixed. Then add in the vanilla & mix well.
2Next add in the 1/2 cup flour, baking soda & slat beat well. Then add in the remaning 2 cups of the flour alternately with the water. Then pour into 2 greased & flour 9 inch round cake pans.
3Then bake for about 35 mins or until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool in the pans for about 10 mins. Then remove from the pans & cool completely on a wire rack. Then spread with your favorite frosting.
4Special Note: I used a just a chocolate can frosting.
