Use fresh or canned fruit. If you use canned fruit, be sure to drain it first.
If you use baking mix instead of flour, you can reduce the butter to 1/2 a stick.

Ingredients

1 c
self rising flour
1 c
sugar
1 c
milk
1 stick
butter
2 c
fruit

Directions Step-By-Step

Melt butter in the bottom of an 8x8 or 9x9 square pan.

Mix flour, sugar, milk together in a medium bowl. Pour over butter. Do not stir!

Pour fruit on top and bake at 400 degrees until browned on top, about 30 minutes.
