I found this recipe years ago. It called for chocolate cake mix and frosting made with whipped topping and a can of cherry pie filling which I never saw the need for because it is so good & moist without it!

1 pkgcake mix, any flavor but white makes the prettiest

1 cancherry pie filling (i've also tried apple)

2eggs
How To Make easiest cake ever!

1Combine all ingredients in bowl.

2Stir--don't need a mixer!

3Pour into 9*13 sprayed cake pan. Bake in preheated 350 oven 25-30 (?) until done--sorry, I've really never timed it!
