Earthquake Cake

This is such an easy cake, but very popular. I'm always asked to bring this at get togethers!

1 c
chopped pecans
1 pkg
cake mix, german chocolate
1/2 c
margarine-room temp
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1 c
1 pkg
(8oz.) cream cheese-at room temp
1 lb
powdered sugar

Directions Step-By-Step

Spread pecans and coconut in the bottom of a greased 9X13 cake pan. Prepare cake mix as directed. Pour the prepared cake mix over the pecans and coconut. Combine cream cheese, margarine, vanilla and powdered sugar. Mix well and spoon onto the cake batter. Bake 40 to 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Don't over bake.
