This is soooo very easy, and once again one of our favorite camping dutch oven recipes. With just 4 ingredients, it's quick to throw together.
I would use a 10-12 inch dutch oven and use your judgement with the briquets
Also, use any pie filling and any cake mix--I bet blueberry would be delicious also.
You may also line the dutch oven with foil to make for easier clean up

Ingredients

1
can of pie filling--(we love cherry)
1
cake mix--(we use yellow)
2 or 3
pats of butter

Directions Step-By-Step

pour the can of pie filling into the dutch oven

pour the cake mix on top of the pie filling--do not mix them up

place 2 or 3 pats of butter on top

sprinkle with cinnamon if you would like

Cover the oven--place about 15-20 charcoal briquets on top of the oven and about 8-12 underneath

bake for 20 minutes give or take
remember to check often so the cake doesn't burn
