Dessert in a Jar

Teri Roegge

I am a think outside the box kind of person and wanted to come up with a dessert for my card club that would be different and unexpected. It was going to be one of the club member's birthday and I knew she liked peanut butter, white chocolate and bananas. I wanted to come up with something that included all three.

pinch tips: How to Melt and Soften Butter

8 - 8 ounce

6 Hr

2 c
vanilla sandwich cookies (crushed)
1 stick
butter, melted
1 tsp
banana extract
bananas, sliced

8 oz
cream cheese, soften
1/2 c
peanut butter, crunchy
1 c
powdered sugar
8 oz
cool whip
3/4 c
vanilla or white chocolate chips

1 box
white chocolate instant pudding (3 oz.)
1 c
8 oz
cool whip

Directions Step-By-Step

For the crust:
Add the banana extract to the melted butter, then add the flavored butter to the crumbs and mix well. Press 2T. of crumbs into the bottom of 8 - 8oz jars. and top with banana slices and set aside.
For the filling:
Mix the cream cheese, peanut butter, and sugar together until well blended. Fold in cool whip and chips. Divide mixture among the 8 jars over the bananas. There may be some left over depending on the height
of jar and set aside.
Mix the instant pudding and cold milk together until well blended and refrigerate until set. Once set fold in the cool whip and scoop mixture over the filling in the jars. Refrigerate for 2 to 4 hrs.
I topped each with some finely chopped dry roasted peanuts
