Annamaria's Notes:

This is my favorite brownie cheesecake that I make. The combo of cheesecake and brownie is so heavenly and decadent! A family favorite too!

Directions

1
HEAT oven to 350°F. Spray bottom only of 9-inch springform pan with no-stick cooking spray. Prepare brownie according to package directions for chewy brownies. Reserve 3/4 cup brownie batter for cheesecake. Spread rest evenly in prepared pan.
2
BAKE 25-30 minutes or until set
3
BEAT cream cheese until fluffy in large bowl. Gradually beat in sweetened condensed milk. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour into prepared pan. Add a lttle less than a 1/4 cup water to reserved brownie batter and mix well. Drop spoonfuls of brownie batter randomly over cream cheese mixture. Swirl with tip of knife to create marbled effect.
4
REDUCE oven temperature to 300°F. Bake 50 minutes or until set. Cool. Chill thoroughly. Remove side of springform pan. Garnish as desired.
5
NOTE: Chocolate chips may fall to the bottom of brownie layer during baking.

I have this in baking right now for my hubby's 40th bday cake. The very first baked cheesecake I have ever made. My brownie mix that I reserved out was very watery once I added the water to it. Is it suppose to be runny like that? How long should it take to beat the cream cheese until fluffy? Sure hope I did it right.

OMG! Thank You so much for this amazing recipe! It was so delicious! My family loved it and it is definatly one I plan to make again in the future. The only thing I can see that I would do different is maybe underbake the brownie crust a bit so it doesnt overbake later. The center of the cheesecake wasn't quite set as much as should have been either. Think I will make these adjustments next time. Every oven is different.

Yes indeed every oven is different, with my oven I always have to under bake everything on packages because I think I have a really hot oven. I am so glad though you and your family enjoyed it!

Made this recipe for my family, and will be making it again on Wednesday for my husband's birthday! It's awesome! A spoonful (or two!) of Cool-Whip and the mini chocolate chips really make a pretty and delicious garnish. The only change I made was adding less water to the brownie mix. If I can figure out how to add pictures I will do so! LOL!
