I love chocolate,and this torte Is an old stand by. It originated from an old cook book of chocolate desserts. It is a rich cake. It is topped off with a dark chocolate glaze. It is defiantly a chocolate lovers cake. Serve with ice cream. Add nuts, berries or whip cream to top it off. It is delicious! Enjoy all!
stir together flour,sugar,cocoa,instant coffee,baking soda,and salt in a large bowl
add butter,sour cream,egg,and vanilla. Beat on low speed until blended.Then beat on medium speed for 3 minutes.
pour in to a pan with round 9 inch round baking with greased wax paper on the inside bottom of pan.
bake 30-35 minutes until pick comes out clean.cool for 15 min. take out of pan and put on wire rack to cool.Remove wax paper
make Fudge glaze : combine all ingredients except vanilla and nuts.place in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until it boils. stir constantly for 5 minutes.cool for 10 minutes,and add nuts and vanilla
place cake on plate and pour glaze evenly on cake.Let it run down sides of cake. Refrigerate until firm. Serve and keep leftovers refrigerated.
