Another delicious Apple Cake I think most anyone would enjoy. It has a nice crunchy topping, while the cake is tender and moist... Just delicious...

I baked this cake this morning to take to work...they were fighting over the last piece...lol!

Eat it plain or I like a dollop of whipped cream on mine.

So good with your morning coffee...

Ingredients

1/2 c
butter, softened
1 - 8 oz
cream cheese, softened
1 c
sugar
2
eggs
1/2 tsp
vanilla
2 c
all purpose flour
1/4 tsp
salt
1 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1/4 c
milk
3 medium
granny smith apples,( peeled, cored and diced )

TOPPING

3/4 c
flour
1/2 c
brown sugar
1/2 tsp
cinnamon
1/4 c
butter

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 350 degree F.

Spray and flour a 9 x 13 baking pan or dish.

2Cream together butter and cream cheese. Add sugar and eggs, beat well. Add vanilla.

3Sift flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda together in a separate bowl.

4Add to the cream cheese batter alternately with milk. Stir in diced apples. Batter will be very thick.

5Spoon into greased and floured 9x13-inch pan.

6Prepare topping by combining the flour, sugar, and cinnamon, and mixing well. Cut in butter in small pieces until it is the size of small peas and is evenly distributed. ( I use my food processor. ) Sprinkle the topping mixture evenly over batter.

7Bake for 50 - 60 minutes, or until tests done.

Let cool for at least 20 minutes before cutting.
