Cranberry Coffee Cake

1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
1 (8 ounce ) carton sour cream
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 cup sugar
2 1/2 cups cake flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla
1 (16 ounce ) can whole cranberry sauce


1 cup confectioners sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsps milk


1Cream butter and gradually add sugar beating until light and creamy. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition.

2Combine dry ingredients and add alternately with sour cream beating well. Blend in the vanilla extract.

3Spoon 1/3 of mixture into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan or bundt pan. Spread 1/3 cranberry sauce over batter. Repeat layers twice more ending with cranberry sauce. Sprinkle pecans over top.

4Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hr or until done. Let cool 5 minutes before removing from pan. Drizzle glaze over top.
