Country Strawberry Bread

When I was about 23 years old, I was a cashier at a grocery store. One day, close to Christmas, a customer came through my line and had boxes and boxes of frozen strawberries and other baking items. I asked her what she was making and she said “Strawberry Bread”. I told her that sounded so good and I had never heard of it. Much to my surprise, the next day she came back with bread and the recipe,YUMMY !
At that time, my customer must have been at about 70 years old, that was 37 years ago. I share this recipe with people and tell the story. Share the recipe,please tell the story. She lives on!

Ingredients

3 c
flour
2 c
sugar
1 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
salt
3 tsp
cinnamon
4
eggs beaten
1 1/2 c
oil
2 box
10oz frozen strawberries thawed
1 1/2 c
chopped nuts
1 c
cocont

Step-By-Step

1Combine dry ingredients and mix well, set aside.

2Combine all wet ingredients and mix well, add dry ingredients.

3Add chopped nuts and coconut.

4Pour into GREASED pan. Grease, even if it is non-stick pan!

5Bake at 350’ for 50 minutes or until a toothpicks comes out clean.
