EASY COCONUT PECAN FROSTING (SALLYE)

Such an easy way to make this classic frosting. It is wonderfully delicious on German chocolate cakes.

Ingredients

1 c
butter (2 sticks)
1 can(s)
eagle brand sweetened condensed milk (14 ounces)
1 large
egg yolk slightly beaten
2 c
shredded coconut
1-1/2 c
coarsely chopped pecans

Step-By-Step

1Melt butter over medium high heat in a heavy saucepan.

When butter is melted, add condensed milk and egg yolk.

Stir constantly until mixture is boiling.
2Once mixture is boiling, remove from heat.

Add pecans and coconut and stir until well blended.

Allow to cool completely before using to allow icing to firm up.
3Very quick and easy.
