Chocolate Smothered Cherry Cake

- white or yellow cake mix
- 1 jar(s)
- maraschino cherries
- 1 lrg box
- chocolate instant pudding
- 16 oz
- frozen whipped topping, thawed
1Prepare and bake cake mix according to package directions
2When cake is cooled, poke holes in it with the handle of a wooden spoon. (evenly spaced)
3In those holes put 1/2 a maraschino cherry.
4Make Instant pudding according to package directions. Pour over cake making sure to coat the whole cake.
5Spread thawed whipped topping on cake. Drizzle with cherry juice (optional) I think it's pretty.
Cover and efrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
