Chocolate Kahlua Cake

I'm making Kahlua this year so this is a good recipe to try it out. It calls for Kahlua frosting I'll put it on the next recipe.

Ingredients

3/4 c
butter softened
2 1/4 c
sugar

1-ounce squares of unsweetened chocolate(meltp
1/3 c
kahlua
2 1/4 c
cake flour(sifted)
1 tsp
cream of tatar
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1/4 tsp
salt
3/4 c
milk
3/4 c
hazelenuts or pecans, toasted and divided

Directions Step-By-Step

Beat butter at medium speed with mixer; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, one at a time beating well after each addition. Add chocolate and Kahlua; beat until well blended.

Combine flour and next 3 ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix well after each addition.

Pour batter into 3 greased and floured 9-inch round cakepans. Bake at 350 for 18 to 23 minutes or until a wooden pick comes out clean. Cool in pans completely on wire racks.

Stir 1/2 cup nuts into 1 cup Chocolate Kahlua Frosting; spread between layers. Spread remaining frosting on top and sides. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cups of nuts on top.
