Chocolate Fudge Cherry Cake

This cake is so easy, and delicious..it's rich and very moist. The frosting is of a fudgey consistency.

This cake is one of my daughters favorites..


If getting company at the last minute..this cake would be a great one to make. Enjoy!

Ingredients

1 box
devil's food cake mix (your favorite) - i used duncan heinz
1 - 22 oz can(s)
cherry pie filling

eggs
1 tsp
almond flavoring ( optional ) - i used vanilla

FROSTING

5 Tbsp
butter
1 c
sugar
1/3 c
milk
6 oz
semi sweet chocolate chips

Directions Step-By-Step

Preheat oven to 350 degree F.

Grease and flour a 13x9x2-inch pan.

Mix cake mix, cherry pie filling, eggs, and flavoring by hand. Batter will be thick.

Spread batter into the prepared cake pan.

Bake at 350┬░for about 30 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.

For the frosting:

Place sugar, butter, and milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil stirring constantly. Boil for one minute. Remove from the heat and stir in chocolate chips until smooth.

Pour over warm cake.
