This is my Grandmother's recipe.
I ate a lot of it growing up and it tastes delicious.

Ingredients

1 c
sugar
2 Tbsp
cocoa, unsweetened
1/4 c
shortening
1/3 c
milk
1 tsp
vanilla extract

Step-By-Step

1Blend the cocoa and sugar together to avoid lumps.
Place in medium sauce pan along with the 1/4 cup shortening and 1/3 cup milk.
2On medium heat slowly bring to boil stir to mix ingredients then turn up the
heat a little. When it reaches a rolling boil- time for one minute. Remove from heat.
3Allow to cool and add 1-tsp vanilla extract
Do NOT STIR UNTIL COOL OR IT WILL CRYSTALLIZE.
