If not in chip form, chop bittersweet chocolate into small pieces.
Combine sugar, heavy cream, chocolate and butter in a microwave safe dish. Microwave on high for 1-2 minutes (pull out when melted).
Add red wine (I used Cabernet Sauvignon) to the chocolate mixture and stir to blend.
Serve with bite-size pieces of pound cake, bananas and strawberries for dipping.
