this is a good cake to make when you're told company's coming in an hour. I typed it using the chocolate and cherries that I had first tasted, but have tried several other combinations, apples in spice cake with cream cheese frosting in the fall is wonderful, along with peaches & a french vanilla cake mix and buttrcram icing

Ingredients For chocolate cherry cake

1 boxchocolate cake mix

3eggs
-
1 cancherry pie filling **not extra fruit**

1 canchocolate buttercream frosting
How To Make chocolate cherry cake

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees or the setting that your cake box recommends.

2Mix together cake mix, eggs and pie filling until blended and pour into a greased 11x13 pan (I've personally only used this pan, other sizes would work also)

3Bake for 30-35 minutes or the time indicated on the cake box.

4Let cake cool completely before frosting
