Candy Bar Chocolate Cake



This is a moist chocolate cake I like to make for my chocolate loving nephew's birthday. He ALWAYS request a chocolate cake.
Usually, I don't frost the cake,just a light dusting of Powdered sugar.
I use a hershey bar,but whatever candy bar you like can be used.

pinch tips: How to Fold Ingredients


7 oz milk chocolate candy bar
1/2 c chocolate syrup
1 c butter,softened
1 1/2 c sugar
4 eggs
1 t. vanilla
2 3/4 c flour
1/2 t salt
1/2 t baking soda
1 c buttermilk
powdered sugar,optional

Directions Step-By-Step

Heat candy bar and syrup over low heat till melt. Set aside. Cream butter and sugar,add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition.Stir in chocolate and vanilla.Combine dry ingredients add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.Pour into greased and floured 10 inch fluted tube pan.Bake 350 deg.65-70 mins.Cool in pan on rack 15 mins.Remove from pan and cool completely.dust with powdered sugar.
