Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 cups yellow or white cake mix (with pudding)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cup butter, unsalted, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 x large egg
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup candy sprinkles, assorted colors

How To Make cake batter cookies

  • Step 1
Sift together flour, cake mix & baking soda; reserve.
  • Step 2
In a stand mixer with paddle, beat butter & sugars until blended. Add egg & extract; beat until creamy. Beat in flour mixture until combined; don't overmix. Stir in chips & sprinkles. Cover & refrigerate 2 hours (or up to 4 days).
  • Step 3
Let dough soften slightly at room temperature before baking; at least 45 minutes - 1 hour.
  • Step 4
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step 5
Drop rounded tbsp of dough onto ungreased baking sheets. Shape balls to be taller than they are wide, chill dough not in use. Bake 10 - 12 minutes, until edges are slightly browned. Centers will appear very soft; cookies will set as they cool. Cool 4 minutes before pulling completely on rack.
