Lisa's Notes:

This is a favorite at the church suppers. Instead of baking it in a 9x13 pan, we usually bake it in a bundt pan.

Directions

1
Mix the butter pecan cake mix, eggs, milk, and oil.
2
Add can of coconut frosting to the batter.
3
Pour into 9x13 baking pan.
4
Bake for 35 minutes at 350 degrees. (If you use a bundt pan, bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

This is also a favorite in my home. I bake this in a bundt pan, after spraying with bakers joy, then sprinkle 1/4 cup powdered sugar in bottom & up sides, then sprinkle 1/4 cup chopped pecans the same way. Then pour the batter on top of this & bake. This adds a very pretty topping that is already baked in.

When I make this cake, I drizzle a cream cheese icing over the top of the cake...adds a little extra sweetness, plus, who doesn't like cream cheese frosting??:))

Lisa, This is a great cake! We love it! I also use bundt pan. Easy, moist and delish ... What more can you ask for! My daughter gave me this recipe a few years ago only using German Chocolate cake mix ... very good also, try it.

First of all, when you say "coconut frosting" do you mean the coconut/pecan frosting usually used for a German Chocolate Cake?
Also, to SheilaJo: When making the German Chocolate cake mix version, is the recipe the same except using GC cake mix & GC frosting?
Both sound unique, easy, and delicious! I will be making both! Thanks!
