This recipe was dated 1920. My grandmother recieved it from her older sister Mary Kennedy Mudrak.

I only remember having this one time when my Aunt Charlotte Sullivan Smith came to visit.

It tasted good...

Ingredients

4 large
eggs
1/2 tsp
almond extract
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1/3 tsp
ground cinnamon
1/3 tsp
salt
1/4 c
milk
1 1/4 c
sugar
2 1/4 c
oven dried and toasted bread crumbs

Directions Step-By-Step

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease a cake pan.

Beat the eggs, extracts, milk, spices and sugar. Stir in the bread crumbs.

Put batter evenly into cake pan. Bake for 40 minutes.

This is cake is similar in texure and flavor to a very moist brownie.

**** You can add other ingredients of choice like chips, nuts, shredded carrots, fried bacon, etc.

**** You can frost, but some versions are great without toppings or frostings.
