Ingredients For boston cream pie

  • 1 pkg
    18.25 ounces yellow cake mix
  • 2 3/4 c
    cold milk
  • 1 pkg
    5.1 ounces instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 jar
    16 ounces hot fudge ice cream topping, warmed
  • 24
    maraschino cherries with stems, optional

How To Make boston cream pie

    Prepare and bake cake according to package directions, using a greased 13x9 inch baking pan. Cool completely on a wire rack.

    Meanwhile, in a large bowl, beat milk and pudding mix on low for 2-3 minutes. Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes. Cut cake into 24 pieces; split each piece horizontally. Place about 1 heaping tablespoon of pudding between layers. Spread each with 1 tablespoon fudge topping and garnish with a cherry if desired.
