Ingredients

3/4 c
butter, softened
2 c
brown sugar

eggs
2 tsp
vanilla
2 c
flour
2 tsp
baking powder
1 tsp
salt
1 1/2 c
pecans, chopped
1 c
maple syrup
2 Tbsp
butter
1/4 c
evaporated milk

Directions Step-By-Step

In large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs; one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Stir in pecans.

Spread into a greased 9 x 13" baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack.

Maple Cream Sauce: Combine syrup and butter in a saucepan. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for three minutes. Remove from the heat; stir in milk. Pour over brownies. Cut brownies into squares; cut in half, if desired. Top with ice cream or whipped cream; sprinkle with pecans. ENJOY!!
