Best Ever Chocolate Cake

This cake is great for anyone who is allergic to eggs. It is hard to find cakes that taste good that do not use eggs. This one is delicious.

It won first prize at the Topsfield Fair (in MA) back in the late 70s.

Ingredients

3 c
all purpose flour
2 c
sugar
6 Tbsp
cocoa, unsweetened
2 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
salt
2 tsp
vanilla extract
12 Tbsp
canola or vegetable oil
2 Tbsp
vinegar
2 c
cold water

Step-By-Step

1Sift dry ingredients into a large bowl. Make 3 holes

2Put vanilla in one hole. Put the canola oil in another, and the vinegar in the last hole.

3Pour cold water over top and mix well. Pour batter into a greased and floured 13x9-inch cake pan and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely and frost as desired.
