Hi Billie, I was just browzing through the new recipes and noticed the word "chart" which made me curious. I like to look at the list nearly every day... LOL. I've been posting my mother's recipes and have really enjoyed this site. Nice to get acquainted. Blessings

Hey Marcia, I had a young lady ask me just a couple of days ago about why would the recipes always be different when she went back the next day? She said I'll never get thru all of these 5,000 pages of recipes if they keep changing everyday. I told her I thought that the new posts would go in categorically and that was how the pages woul differ. Am I correct about that and do you have any suggestions for her? I'll get her name so you can contact her with the info. and I need to know also.

Hey Billie, From what I have observed (only having been on the site for a short time) the recipe list that first appears is always the new recipes that people are posting today. That is why it changes every day.
I suppose if you wanted to single file it through all 5000 of them, you would have to keep track and start there every time you came back!! But that sure seems like a lot of work!! Perhaps someone else knows a better way than that...
I am discovering that if I find a cook I like, who seems to post the kind of recipes I like, then I can "follow" that person and you will get an e-mail telling you when they post something new.
You can also click on anyone's picture and go to their page and browse through the things they have already posted -- and pinched.
If there is a recipe you would like to find, then do a search for the name you know it by and you will get lots of similar recipes popping up.
When I go to post something, I don't like to double post something if someone has already posted it, so I search first, then post. I might post mine if it is different enough, even if it has the same name.
Anyway, that is what I do. If anyone else wants to chime in, I'm interested, too. Hope that helps, Billie. Let me know if you need further assistance. Love and Hugs!!

Billie when you are looking at all the recipes that are being filed each day and you see a recipe you like just use the pinch button and the recipe will go into your recipe file. Or you can click onto the picture and it will take you to the recipe.
Marcia you are right. Every time some one posts a recipe it goes into that site. If you like a another cooks recipe and like what you see you can press on the little heart that's up by your picture and they will become a favorite cook of yours. Hope this helps a little. Leila

Yes, Leila, I know about the pinching. What we were trying to figure out is: How does JAP sort all the recipes that as they are posted? Are they categorized or just entered as they are posted??? You know, categorized like Breakfast, Desserts, Main Dishes and so on???
And thanks for the input, it is very helpful!!!!
