Mary R's StoryThis is off a recipe booklet from Barcardi ,that I picked up at a store around Christmas in 1974.My brother John Pierson loved rum ball's and I made these for him every Christmas .The longer they set the better they get..Not that he ever let them set long...
1 1/2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs(i use a good brand)about 50 cookies
1/4 cup of bacardi dark rum -any good brand will do at least 80 proof
8 oz ground walnuts(2 cups)-do not use pecans
1/4 cup of honey

1Combime all ingredients ,except powered sugar ,blend thorougly.Shape into small balls about 1 inch in diameter .Roll in the powered sugar.Store in tightly covered container.Makes about 2 1/2 dozen.

Mary, This recipe is just a little different than the one I've made, I think mine has karo in it to combine the ingredients. Will have to give this one a try. Thanks!

I love Rum Balls!! I've never had the recipe to make them UNTIL now!!! I have a pint bottle of rum (never opened) that is now 18 yrs old!! Should make some AWESOME Rum Balls! Thanks for sharing!
