Ingredients

eggs
2 c
sugar
1 1/2 c
vegetable oil
1 c
all purpose flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
cinnamon, ground
1/2 tsp
salt
3 c
peeled apples diced fine
1 c
chopped pecans or walnuts

BUTTER CREAM SAUCE

1/2 c
butter
1 c
sugar
1/2 c
heavey whipping cream
1 tsp
vanilla extract

Step-By-Step

1IN A LARGE MIXING BOWL, BEAT EGGS, SUGAR, AND OIL.

2IN ANOTHER BOWL COMBINE FLOUR, SODA, CINNAMON, AND SALT; GRADUALLY ADD TO BATTER, (BATTER WILL BE VERY STIFF) FOLD IN APPLES AND NUTS.

3POUR INTO A GREASED 10 IN. FLUTED TUBE PAN, BAKE AT 325 FOR 1-1/4 TO 1-1/2 HOURS OR UNTIL CAKE TESTER SAYS DONE. COOL 10 MINUTES BEFORE REMOVING FROM PAN.

4BUTTER CREAM SAUCE

5MELT BUTTER IN SMALL PAN. ADD SUGAR, CREAM AND VANILLA. COOK AND STIR OVER LOW HEAT UNTILL SUGAR IS DISOLVED.

6SLICE CAKE AND SERVE WITH WARM SAUCE.
