INGREDIENTS

2 1/2 cups flour

Place all the dry ingredients in a large bowl and sift together, set aside.

1/2 cup butter

1/4 cup crisco shortening
•
1 1/2 cups sugar

2 large eggs, slightly beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla
•
1 cup chunky applesauce
•
1 cup raisins that have been soaked in warm water to plump them up and drained
•
1/2 cup chopped toasted walnuts
