Three ingredients (plus seasonings) and you have good "comfort food" gravy. Serve over biscuits, potatoes, or toast. This is an Indiana winter farm favorite. it fills you up and warms you up.

Ingredients For super simple indiana biscuits and gravy

  • 1/2 lb
    bulk pork sausage
  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 2 1/2 c
    milk
  • salt, pepper, hot sauce to taste

How To Make super simple indiana biscuits and gravy

    Crumble sausage in a large skillet and cook until thoroughly done and brown. Remove sauage from pan and set aside. Drain all but 2T grease and drippings.

    Stir flour into drippings and continue to cook, stirring constantly until flour has browned. Gradually stir in milk and continue to stir constantly until gravy thickens. Stir in cooked sausage and seasonings to taste.

    Serve over biscuits, mashed potatoes, or toast. Most of my friends like to serve over "Grands" brand prepared biscuits.
