Myra and I found this recipe while on vacation to Willimgton NC in 2002. Have no idea where but she has hand written inside the front cover of a little sea food cookbook she bought at the Fort Fisher Aquarium.

Ingredients For orange butter

1 lbpowdered sugar

2 stickunsalted butter (1/2 pound)

1 lgorange (juice and zest)

Pinchsalt (to taste)
How To Make orange butter

1Cream butter and powdered sugar together, add 1/4 of the zest and all of the juice from Orange, blend well.

2Use as a spread for banana bread, muffins, cornbread, hush puppies, rolls, biscuits, your right index finger, you name it, you'll like it spread with some!
