Ingredients

5 c
whole oats
1/4 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
2 Tbsp
ground flax seed
2 Tbsp
toasted wheat germ
1/2 tsp
salt
1-2 tsp
cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice
1 c
chopped nuts of your choice (optional)
1/3 c
melted butter
2 Tbsp
honey
1/2 c
sugar
1 tsp
vanilla
1 c
dried fruit of choice (optional)

Step-By-Step

1Combine the first 7 ingredients.
2Combine the applesauce, syrup, Splenda & vanilla.
3Add this to the oat mixture, combining well.
4Spread onto a cookie sheet.
5Bake in a 350' oven for 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
6Cool completely then add the dried fruit.
7Store in a tightly covered container. This will usually stay fresh for between 7-10 days.
