Paul's Story

This one comes from the American Diabetes Association, and it's really good!


8 oz
fat free cream cheese
1/4 c
chopped golden raisins
1/4 c
chopped pitted dates
1/4 c
chopped walnuts
4 tsp
unsweetened orange or pineapple juice
sesame seed bagels, halved & toasted

Directions Step-By-Step

place all the ingredients except the bagels in a bowl stir until thoroughly combined
spread the filling on the toasted bagels & serve

That's cool Peg! Sorry 'bout your foot! I have a habit of slamming my foot into the couch while barefoot! And since it's an antique it's solid and has no give! I'm packing for the 12 hr bus ride to Hume. We leave at 6 in the morning! I can still pack a mean sea bag!

My Dad would be so proud. I froze some of this recipe and it freezes nicely except that the nuts lose some of their crunch. For future freezing I will wait to add the nuts. It thaws rather quickly but it's so easy to make, the ingredients are almost always on hand, so I have come to the conclusion that I will not bother freezing it. I hurt my foot, so I'm just sitting around with an ice pack and my computer, wishing I could be up and about!
