BLENDER HOLLANDAISE SAUCE(SALLYE)

I found this recipe at allrecipes.com. I didn't change a thing, which is unusual for me. It is a perfect recipe for hollandaise sauce without all the agony entailed in the regular method of making a perfect sauce. I served it over steamed asparagus last night. OOH, Manifique!

Ingredients

3 large
egg yolks
1/4 tsp
djon mustard
1 Tbsp
lemon juice
1 dash(es)
franks or tabasco hot sauce
1/2 c
butter

Directions Step-By-Step

Place in blender the egg yolks, mustard, lemon juice and hot pepper sauce.

Cover and blend for about 5 seconds. Leave mixture in blender and turn off power.

Place butter in microwave safe measuring cup.

Microwave on full power for 30 seconds to 1 minute until completely melted and hot.

DO NOT ALLOW TO BOIL

Set blender to high speed and VERY SLOWLY dribble the butter into the egg yolk mixture in a thin stream.

It should begin to thicken immediately.

To keep warm, leave the sauce in the blender jar and place the jar in a pan of hot tap water.
