Irish Porridge with Strawberries and Cream

- steel-cut oats
- 1/8 tsp
- 1 c
- coarsely chopped strawberries
- 4 Tbsp
- heavy cream
- 8 tsp
- light brown sugar or turbinado sugar
1In a saucepan over medium-high heat, combine 4 cups water, the oats and salt - bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to maintain a gentle simmer, cover and cook, stirring occasionally until the oats are tender and creamy, about 30 minutes.
2Spoon the porridge into 4 bowls and top each with 1/4 cup strawberries, 1 tbsp. cream and 2 tsp. sugar. Serve immediately.
