This recipe was in my Grandma's recipe file , she got it from a woman named Sue Buckman ( probably a friend). It sounds very delicious and healthy too.

Ingredients

3 c
whole wheat flour
1 tsp
salt
4 c
fine cut coconut
1 c
sugar
4 c
rolled oats
1 c
brown sugar
1 c
wheat germ
3/4 c
corn meal
3/4 c
cream of wheat or rice ,
1-1/2 c
(unroasted ) sunflower seeds
---------------
1/2 c
peanut-butter
1 c
oil
1-1/2 c
chopped nuts
1-1/2 c
water

Directions Step-By-Step

Preheat the oven to 375 °

Mix the oil and peanut-butter together until well blended , add the nuts and blend ; blend the water with the oil mixture and pour over all the rest of the ingredients and mix well ; Breaking lumps with hands.

Before putting the cereal in the oven ; turn the oven down to 200° and put the cereal in.

Bake for 2 hours ; Stirring every 15 minutes ; until light brown .

Store in glass jars until ready to use.
