I love cream of wheat, any way you serve it. What a great start to a frigid winter day! Here is a slight variation on the traditional cereal.

Ingredients

4 c
milk
3/4 c
cream of wheat cereal, uncooked
1/4 c
sugar
1/3 c
whipped cream cheese spread
1/3 c
blueberries

Step-By-Step

1In a medium saucepan, bring milk to a boil over high heat, being careful not to burn. Gradually add cream of wheat and sugar, stirring constantly until thoroughly blended. Cook 3 to 5 minues, until thickened, stirring constantly.
2Add the cream cheese spread; cook until cream cheese is melted and mixture is well-blended, stirring frequently.
3Add the blueberries; stir gently until well-blended. Serve immediately.
4May substitute sliced strawberries for the blueberries.
