Preheat a large skillet to a high heat.
Meanwhile, use a heart shaped cookie cutter (or just round) to make a heart in the bread.
Butter one side of each piece of bread and place butter side down in skillet and toast for about a minute.
Carefully crack an egg into each bread heart. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook until eggs are cooked to your desired consistency. You can cover with a lid if you like your eggs well done.
Top with a bit of hot sauce (if you like it a bit spicy)
